Plot Description:
The Frozen Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is a compilation of the songs performed in the Walt Disney Movie Frozen as well as the score from the film. The songs included are Frozen Heart, Do You Want to Build A Snowman?, Love is an Open Door, Let it Go, Reindeers Are Better Than People, In Summer, and Fixer-Upper. All of the songs include clever lyrics that tell the story of Princesses Elsa and Anna. They songs discuss the sisters' difficult relationship, Anna's excitement to find new love, Elsa's despair after freezing her kingdom, the snowman Olaf's desire to spend time in the summer, and the character Kristoff's troll friends trying to convince Anna to fall in love with him. The films instrumental score is also included in the soundtrack.

Qualitative Reading Analysis:
The lyrics in the soundtrack are written in American English. The point of view shifts from song to song, which adds complexity to the soundtrack. Most of the songs are sung in the first person, with the exception of Fixer-Upper the trolls sing about Kristoff to Anna. The lyrics themselves add a great deal of complexity to the soundtrack. All of the lyrics rhyme. The song In Summer is filled with humor and irony because it is about the snowman Olaf's desire to spend time in the summer. He sings about sitting in the sun letting of steam, an American idiom about relaxing, but what is ironic is that he literally would be letting off steam due to evaporation! The song Love is an Open Door uses a metaphor to describe love.
