Plot Description:
Valentine's Day is coming and all of the Peanut's kids are getting ready for the big dance. Charlie Brown wants to ask the little girl with the red hair to the dance but is too nervous and keeps chickening out. Lucy demands attention from Schroeder who tries to ignore her by playing music on his piano instead. Sally drives Linus crazy by calling him he sweet baboo, which he insists he is not. Marcie and Peppermint Patty both hope Charlie Brown will ask them but get frustrated waiting. Peppermint Patty calls Charlie Brown to ask if he had called to invite her and then accepts before he can answer.  The night of the dance comes and does not end well for Charlie Brown. He does not get  to dance with the little girl with the red hair because Snoopy is dancing with her. The next day he is sad but perks up when he receives a special Valentine Snoopy bring him, although it is not revealed who sent it.

The video has minimal complexity. It has a single layer, simple meaning. The language is also simple. It is in American English. Each character speaks in the first person in familiar conversational language. The structure is simple with events in chronological order. There is no background knowledge necessary to understand the show, although it does help if they view is already familiar with Peanuts characters.
